YA Know It...
...But is it worth the read?

YA Know It's Founder
Lindsey D'Ambrosio
I'm Lindsey, and welcome to YA Know It! Just a little bit about me: I love books and everything publishing. My dream is not only to be a book editor at a publishing house one day but also to be a published author myself. I love anything creative, whether sitting at my computer working on my latest InDesign and Photoshop project, creating interactive media using Canva, or simply curling up with my current read.

I'm a Rowan University alumna with a B.A. in Journalism and a dual minor in Communication Studies and professional Creative Writing. While at college, I connected with my passion for writing through my university's newspaper, The Whit, and an online blog platform, The Odyssey Online. I also helped launch my university's startup self-publishing company, Singularity Press. Post-graduation, I was fortunate to intern for a year with The Jennifer De Chiara Literary Agency, based in NY.

I've created this website for many reasons. I wanted to connect my love for reading to my passion for writing and create a platform to showcase that as my true, authentic self. My goal is to keep my passion for books and publishing thriving and help others find books they love, too.

Hi, I'm Gabrielle and I'm one of YA Know It's writer's. Ever since a young age, I loved to read and write. Reading to me is like watching a movie in my mind. I am currently working on my own novel as well as a book of poetry. In my free time, if I’m not reading or writing, then I’m playing with my two fur babies, Apollo & Orbit.
I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism as well as a Certificate in Creative Writing at Rowan University. During my time there, I wrote for the school newspaper, The Whit. I fell in love with attending events, interviewing people, and writing about an important topic, Mental Health. I got to connect with so many students and share Rowan University’s way of helping students through tragedy and everyday life struggles. I also had the luxury of interning with South Jersey Magazine for six months.

Writing for YA Know It ignites the fire inside me to continue writing my own book and to expand my reading knowledge. I was given this incredible opportunity from YAKI's founder, Lindsey, who had a vision to share her love of reading and writing, which I want to do as well. Here I strive to tackle my book reviews with a writer's mind, focusing on the tools authors utilize and how in which they utilize them. I am excited to share the many interesting books I will be reading and my hope is to make you want to check them out for yourself or give you some food for thought on things that you might’ve missed when you read them.

My opinions are my own, but I would love to hear yours if you are passionate about a book I reviewed***
